Klrkpatrick, president of the Shasta View irrigation district was called to Klamath Falls Friday by their lawyer, Fred Fletcher, (to sign the $120,000 worth of bonds that they may be certified by the state engineer. The funeral of Alee Lafranee who died at a Klamath Falls hospital Sunday was bold at the community ball at Malin Tuesday at 2 p. m. Rev. Unlet officiating. Interment was in the Malin cemetery. This was a doubly sad occasston as the young man expected to return . in a few weeks to his native home, Switzer land, where his mother lives ot whom he often spoke- in most en- dealing -terms. Bryon Lotehea. local rancher who was taken ill while visiting in Klam ath Falls, is Improving rapidly and expects to return to hie ranch within the next tew days. Morris Lotches is in Klamath Falls for a few days with his brother Bryon who is ill Tom Barclay and family rancher from Sprague are visiting friends in Klamath Falls. Carlos Blair, member of the Klam ath Indian police, is in Klamath Falls on official business. George Miller, formerly of the Klamath Indian reservation and now residing in Klamath Falls, spent the day here visiting -old friends. Stonewall Jackson, local rancher, received word from his daughter Anne, formerly a resident of the reservation and now Vesiding In Yuma, Aris., that she will return soon on a visit, as she is disposing ot her lead mine. Kane Sconohin, grandson ot Scon chin John, iwho was chief of the Mo doc tribe during the Modoc war. Is visiting friends in Klamath Falls. Henry Shadley, member ot the Klamath Indian police, returned from Klamath Falls with a prisoner, who was a fugitive from, justice. iRoy Riley local merchant left for Klamath Falls to purchase supplies. Frank Hoover of West Chiloquin and family are visiting friends in Klamath falls. , Curtiss Heldrick, member of- the Chiloquin Mercantile Co., is in Klam ath Falls on business.
