Williams, brakeman of Dunsmulr, walked along the Clear creek bridge Thursday night peering under Ws freight car proteges to locate a defective pair of brake shoes. It was dark and Williams had to bend over to get a good look. Finding the trouble, he edged side ways to get a better look, and stepped off the trestle and plunged 30 feet to the rocky creek bottom. He fell on his head and nearly broke his hip. For a time Williams believed his ; leg was broken, but examination re vealed that he wag only bruised and shaken up. His head was uninjured.
