Word has been quietly In circula

Crater I.ake company would bo un
ablo to ralso tho 180,000 for tho

was confirmed by Vernon W, Vawter,
nn officer of tho company, who re
turned Sunday from Portland whoro
he conferred with Krlc Hiuser and
Mr. Trice, other oJcIa.lU!f.hojflE

Parkhurst for several years Is well
known.' ho. repeatedly said within

would never allow Parkhurst to opc

However, although tho outlook

In tho oient the Crater Lake com
