daughter (Juanlta Hanson.) These
leaders of the Tcxans successfully
conceal their arms when Santa Anna
Issues n proclamation confiscating
all weapons. With, theso. arms the
Tcxans capture tho Alamo, a com
bined mission and 'fort
Santa Anna, who has been away
during the capture of the fort, re
turns nnd lays slego with 6000 men.
After ten days ot desperate resistance
the fort Is taken. Only Silent Smith
who had been sunt to Sam Houston
