Oil pro. ductlon In Texas for tho quarter end ing Juno 30, 1920, was valued at SG0,315,O9S. according to reports mndo to tho state comptroller and compiled by John DuPrlcst, head ot tho oil division. Of this amount, $904,726.47 was collected as tho one and one-half per cent gross produc tion tax. Tho Texas company reported the largest production fe tho quarter, their figures being $9,7866, 12S, white tho Gulf Production company waa oscond with $0,837,925. They paid quarterly taxes ot $146,903 and $"102,36$ respectively. Reports made to the state rallnod commission by oil pipeline compan ies showed that 7,806,642 barrols ot oil wero gathered by tho plptllno of Texas during tho month of July. Stephens county led In tho amount gathered with 2,095,790 barrels. Wichita county was second with 1,328,621 barrels, and Brazoria coun ty was a close third with 1,309,307 barrels.
