Jar the erection of the Academy of the Sacred Heart has been such as to merit the sincere appreciation of those who are pro moting the- Academy an apprecia tion that will Increase In the future aa the magnificent Institution grows to the proportions it Is destined to attain. But the drive Is Just started and It will continue until the plan outlined nt the beginning Is carried to completion. The bulne Interests of the county rm-rchajits, manufacturers. big property owners are going to be appealed to next to carry this drhe toward the goal sought, and It Is to be hoped that all of them will Kite out of the fujlness of the pros perity that has been tbelr during the past few years. This academy Is not a sectarian affair It Is not even a community or county affair. It Is greater than any of these. It l ot a territory hundreds of miles In ex tent, for It Is to serve parts ol Cal ifornia. Idaho. Oregon, and Nevada. It is to be the Mecca to which stu- dents frop this 'Immense territory. -will oe (irnnn, imu iimiwuK rkiaui..tii Falls the educational center for a section ot the west that Is barren of any such educational Institution, and with It the bulnes center ot the families and friends of those at tending. It- Is here where the material part ot the drive becomes of Interest to the business man ot the city. That the academy", under thj preliminary plans covering the first unit, will mean a thousand dollars a week to the business men of the city Is cer tain. Thoe back of the institution are sure it will mean half as much more. It will attract a class of home seekers who will come becnue of the educational advantage to be se cured for their children. It will give tf 'moral tone that Is always a big asset to any community, i ,That Is not all. The present plans contempla'te only a beginning. Beck In Nazareth. Kentucky, where the sisters who will have charge ot the chool come from, there is an insti tution In whlrhl s Invested over a million and a half dollars. It Is recognized as one ot the highest ed ucational Institutions of the South. It is the expectation that-a duplicate of the Nazareth Academy will be founded here In Klamath Falls, and If such happens eery person who contributes one cent In this drive trill have the pleasure of realizing It was the money contributed that made s;ich a result po'sible.
