Miss Miriam Martin, who it attend ing Miss Head's school for girls in Berkeley and who has been visiting with relatives and friends in this city over the holidays, returned to her studies this morning. Mrs. Andrew Collier entertained tho Kedron Club at her lovely new home on Third Street last Tuesday evening. Miss Inez Graham will be hostess to the GOO Club of which she is a momber on Saturday evening. One of the most enjoyable social events imaginable occurred New Years' day, at tho home of Mr.. and Mrs. R. C. Groesbeck at Ninth aiyl Lincoln Streets when the ladies of the P. E. O. Sorority entertained their husbands and families in a big l,et together dinner. This is the first feature of this nature to be given since the Chapter was installed here and judging from its entire success there will be many others to look forward to. The guests assembled at the dinner hour and the ladies were seen returning with their husbands, tho latter appearing unusually dilat ed and complacent late in the after 'ncon.
