HEW ACT HELPS HOilllESTEADERS MEASURE rY SINNOTT PERMITS ENTRY ON LAND ABOVE 160 ACRES NOT CONTIGUOUS TO FIRST ENTRY Accoidlng to tho piovislons of the onlaiged homestead act of July 3, 1916, persons who hnvo used their first right to 100 ncioa of homestead land may take up an additional 1G0 acres of land no't contiguous to their first claim. This act was introduced by Congress man N. J. Sinnott of thla district, and largely through his efforts was passed by congieso. It means much to entry men who havo not exercised their homestoad rights on 320 acres of land, and who have been prevented from ao doing becavso there was no moro land open to entry contiguous to their orig inal claims.
