" PEOPLE 'S MARKET To Enlarge Canal Herald Special Service HERMISTON, July 21 Contract has been awarded under authority of the secretary of the inferior to the New port Land and Construction company of Hermlston, Ore., for the enlarge ment of the storage feed canal, Uma tilla project, Oregon. The contract price It $82,134. The work consists of widening about twen ty miles of canal, and involves the ex cavation of about 160,000 yards of ma terlal and the placing of about S70 cubic yards of concrete.
