As Illustrating what may be done
by tourist travel a reporv from
the Los Angeles Chamber of Com
merce states that tourists spend from
forty to fifty millions of dollars ev
ery year in Los Angeles alone, and at
least two hundred millions of dollars
in the entire state of California.
It looks as though Klamath Falls
and Oregon have been "asleep at the
switch."
Oregon has far superior scenery
and a much better summer climate
than has California, and we can get
the tourist travel headed this way if
we will go after It in earnest.
What has Klamath Palls done?
Will we get into this letter writing
week campaign with enthusiasm?
The distribution of millions of dol
lars through tourist travel will ben
efit every community, and each indi
vidual in the state. Klamath's vaca

est many.
