city are turning toward the Chamber
of Commerce for the assistance they
need In making the Dargaln Week the
unqualified success that It ought to
be. One of the things most needed Is
an attraction that will conflae the
visitors to the main business portion
of the city, and It haa been suggested
that a street fair would be the best
thing to be secured. Those business)
men who have been seen expressed
themselves aa anxious for the Cham
ber of Commerce to take this part of
the program In band and make It the
crowds, and It would seem that oft
noeerslty the exhibits must remain In
the city, as tbey did Saat year TliH
could easily be done, for the county
court would doubtless give the asso
ciation the free use of the court hoi.se
rrounds, and these weald make an
admirable location for the placing of
the exhibits.
The first problem that ha to be
disposed of I whether the Chamber
of Commerce will take hold of the
street fair. Judge Baldwin -ess
asked relative to the probable atti
tude of the director oa thla matter,
and be said:
"Of course, I cannot apeak for the
directors. That question must 9 de
