Tho night before ho had taken the unties from tho ntovo and 'put them In u box which ho net out 'of doom. It In supposed that thu lashes contained no mo live coals. Dur ing tho evening In going outsldo ho stumbled over tho box. Ho then pick ed It up and set ll against tho house. About two o'clock In the morning ho was awakened by tho explosion of a numbor of cartridges and Jump ing from tho bed ho discovered tho house In flames. Hastily putting on nomo clothes ho began to removo tho bedding and somo of tho furniture. Ho succeeded In removing a quantity of tho bedding, a sewing machine, bureau, and a few other pieces, be sides somo of his daughters' clothes. Moil of this was later damaged as It was left too close to tho burning building. The storo room was also burned containing about $100 worth ot pro visions hu had brought from the Falls a couple of days before, and all ot his feed and grain which bo Intended to sow thu coming spring, were de stroyed. After tho fire was about orer Mr. Fnught went to Bonanza where be arrived early in the morning. Hit clothes wero all destroyed except what he bad on and those were badly burned while removing the goods from tho burning building. He had slipped on a pair of German socks and those wcro burned from his ank les and his other garments were so badly burned that It was necessary to borrow- somo clothes from friends before he was able to present him self In public. Mr. Faugbt has a bouse in Bonan za which ho will havo moved to his ranch at onco which will savo him the expense and Inconvenience of build ing In the winter. Thcro was no in surance.
