This was the first official work of County Judge Geo. W. The purchase of supplies for county officials was placed in the hand* of the county judge instead of allowing each 1 official to to do his own purchasing as has been the rule heretofore. But this order does not affect the clerk’s office, a special law liennitting clerk' to pur chase their supplies. A contract was made with J. Hartman 1 to put in jetties, to lie made of piling covered with planking, for the protection of the Bear creek bridge at Central Point and the bridge across Antelope cieek at HOcents per foot, linear measure.
