Relations was not long— it was organ
ized by Mr. Hays in 1922, and on
March, 19, 1925, Mr. Hays announced
that the Committee on Public Rela
tions was disbanded. There was every
good reason for it proved to be only a
high sounding name to impress the
public. When Mr. Hays found that the
National Congress of Parent Teachers
Associations: the General Federation
of Woman’s Clubs and other organi
zations withdrew because they refused
any longer to be represented in such
inconsequential work, it was indeed
time for him to disband.
