vancement of Colored People. It
cannot work and carry out this
program any farther than the peo
ple for whom it is working are

every member of the colored race
in the community is a member of
the organization. There should be

who won't join the association and
who are the hardest to interest
in the welfare of the race, are the
first to complain to the organiza
tion when their rights have been
abridged or disturbed in any way.
The best thing for such people to
do is to get on the inside and while
the organization does not draw
lines, it is only human and natural
to be more keenly interested in a
member of the organization than
one on the outside. It costs only
a dollar to become a member for
a whole year; why not do it? The
dollar you throw away foolishly
you could be putting it to good ac
count. W hat’t the use. come on
and join the association. There
is no need for us to spend more
money to get this preachment
