lain a lead o f 800, making his plurality 1,279.
More than half a hundred Statement No. 1 men are elected to
the legislature, but the fate of this statement is still somewhat in
doubt. For joint senator, this district. Springer (democrat) has a
large margin over Merryman, (republican). Crook county voted
strong for it*, own man. The figures available being 923 for Spring­
er to 634 for Merryman. Klamath county. Merryman's home, gave
him 962 votes against 516 cast for Springer.
Frank Elkins defeated W. C. Cerglcten for Sheriff 1,179 to 551.

by 200 majority, but Hood River
went dry by 15 votes. Antelope
voted dry by 2 majority, and
