Old Quarts invaded tola sanctum last Friday with a nugget nearly aa big as a horse. All that your Uncle Hiram HlKrade did wa to faint on th spot 1 fell under. the esse rack into the hell box, upsetting tha pasta ean, the con tent of which lodged in my iron gray ringlet. In tailing I broke tha Im poalng atone three chairs and two rib Old Quarts In trying to prevent my ac eident sprained tha Northwest slope of hi left ankle under the knee and back, of hi big toe nail. II turned tha stova upside down and Jobbed bis roaming nostril Into a can of printer' Ink. But we bora these audden sue ession of thoroughbred calamity like heroes and continued to rejoice. Old Quarti fell upon my collar bene and nestled hi yellow wbikkete close op against my juiular vein. I patted him on the rear portion of hi anatomy and stroked his spinal column with both bands. W gated Into ech other's orba and slobbered for ioy. Tear ot delight rolled down our faces aa big a Ben Davis apples. I finally told Old Quarts to jar loose, which be did by using a combination of reluctance and effort. Who can blame or censure us? Ii Is a large, glad thrill that quiver through the anatomy, aa we paaa from the two bit limit cf pauperism to the palaces and pia counter of luxury. It is a glad thing to bid farewell to the cupboard which an old lady named Huubrd immortaliced by her failure to discover therein provender for an emaciated animal whose sir name was Fido. 'It is a boom that will forever refuse to bust. It Is a firm and final fixture in Krooked Kreek Kanon. It will place this camp very near the top of the map. It will chase the coyote from the front yard. It will fill the e chequers of men with the article thjit alwaya doea tha business. It will place a coo In baby'a aesaphagua and a star spangled grin of glory on the forlorn face of Weary William. It will remove the holes from the doughnuts and place them on the outside where they properly belong, and It will pro vide husoamia and homes for pea green grass widows. This is the glad morning time of our pure and unadulterated delight. Let us sound the fog horn and call the boys together. Let us beat the burs fuzz, sound the hugag and let tha loud ho sanrras roll. Run up old glory and waste a ton or two of dynamite. Let tnis be a season of happiness and bi larity. to be remembered till Sa'.an starts his ice factory.
