Metzker, is stopping at Hotel Lake view for a cbauge of pasture. J. L. Grieve, O. B. Stickel, Frank Bethel, Miss Emma Gallagher, Emma Smith, Pearl Smith,Agues Gallagher, were up from Pine Creek last Suuday to see tbe ball gam". C. C. Price is leveling up his lot ou south Water street, putting it in shape to build on. Mr. Price has one of the prettiest building lots iu Lake view, and will have a nice borne. Jack Kimball, Weyerbauesers range man. passed through Lakeview last week on bis way from Silver Lake to Klamath Falls. Mr. Kimball has been very successful in leasing tbe large tracts of laud in thN county belonging te tbe Weyerbauesers. W. M. Gifford, tbe Cailforina sheep buyer accompanied by his wife, ar rived here last week. Mr. Gifford is here to receive a band, of 3000 bead of sheep purchased from W. K. Mc Cormack by Walter Ftfxton. The sheep will be put on tbe trail soon. J. F. Snyder, for many years a res ident of tbe West side, last week sol 1 his ranch south of Drews creek for 810 per acre, and bought .he Barnes ranch a mile north, of Willow ranch, iu Mo doo county, for $3000. J. W. Maxwell made the sale. Mr. Snyder moves to his new home this week. The man arrested at Plush last week charged with being Ole. Hamil ton proved an alibi, and wax dis charged soou after being brought to Lakeview. He dia not sue the coun ty for damages, as be was at Plush a foot and wanted to come to Lakeview tnyway and felt very thankful for the free ride. O. T. McKendree last week received 3CO0 head of sheep from C. W. With era, purchased under contract entered into last fall between Mr. Withers aud McKendree and D. J. Wilcox. Mr. McKendroe says tbe outlook for a big wool crop is encouraging. He does not believe the price of vool will be so good this year as last, neither will sheep bring as much. The McKendree and Wilcox sheep will be sheared at the Warner canyon corral about the middle of this mouth. Some, in reading the program for tbe High Mass, Easter, given iu the paper this week, may think it strange that the word "Solo" is given, sung by two young ladies, but those who are acquainted with the Mats will un derstand. The Solo's are part of tbe mass, just as you would give a name to any other song, but in order to make it easier for the girls, Miss Suelliog had the solo's sung as duets, but this did not give the privilege of changing the name. Cloud has leased his much below Pine Creek to Green Smith and has moved to Lakeview to live. He occupies the II. L Chandler house.
