The divorce case instituted last week, mentioned in The Examiner, was withdrawn by the plaintiff the next day. Bill Bailey was in town from the wood camp Tuesday, and made The Examiner office a financial call. He borrowed a dollar. Mr. Conn says that he lias obxelTed very closely all that has been said against Senator Fulton, and Das noted the Seuator's answer to the charges made against him. Mr. Conn em phatically states that Senator Fulteu is absolutelv uuscathnd ; that he has not lieeu touched by his enemies, and that he is even stronger than ever. Frank Morine, who has been work ing on the telephone line between here and Silver Lake, returned to Lakeview Tuesday, having flnixhed putting the cross arms on the poles, ready to receive the double wires or the metalic circuit which will be used for commercial purposes alone, leav ing the singlt wire fur party line! purposes. This line will be in excel- lent shape for all kinds of business when the new wire is on. Warner Clark, a graduate of the Modoc county High School, presented The Examiner ottlce with a copy of the first edition of the "Modoc Pur ple and White", a Rem! annual pubti cation got'en out by thn Modoc Coun ty High School. The publication is neat in every department, aud a credit to the school, it is on a level with similar publications by much larger institutions of learning. C. L. Withers and C. S. Heneflel, of Paisley, who have leeu circulating the pe ition to get the county seat removal proposition on the ballot for the June election, arrived here from Warner Monday evening, just in time to attend the mass meeting held here that eveuing.
