time that the law got after the perretra

of therp to the bar of justice.
Large bands of cheep ranging in the
vicinity of cattle ranges are destructive
of pasturage and annoying, and the small
"rancher" w ho is trying to raise a fe-v
cattle cannot be reasonably censured for
hating the t-heep; but under the law, ex
cept on i ertain forest reserves, the sheep
and th. ir owners have just as much
tight to the public range as the cattle
men and their animals have. To kill
and wound a large number of sheep is
a cowardly, dastardly way of expressing
