This bill passed both houses and will undoubtedly become a law. The Electric Plant. W. C. Cheeney, electrical expert from Portland, arrived last week to start up the city electric plant. Several business places were visited Saturday and Sun day by the expert who advises changes in the mode of wiring different build ings. The plant is a fine one, and it is expected that the lighting of Lakeview will be very satisfactory. We under stand it is the intention of the Council to place the rate at such a moderate figure that the residences can afford to use the electric light. All the town ex pects now is for the plant to return a revenue sullicient to pay running ex penses and interest on the bunds, and if all the houses in Lakeview were to use the light the revenue would be not much more than sutlicient for that purpose.
