Those spending the after noon Saturday at the home of Mrs Lang Stafford after memorial services for Tant Myers were Mr and Mrs. Ernest Mustonen and Marilyn of Seattle, Mr and Mrs Gil bert Myers of Silverton and Mr and Mrs. Louis Myers of Elkton. Saturday Walt and Toni Thomas and Chris visited the LeRoy Hawkins in Salem. Le- l Roy is Chris’ godfather. The City Planning Commis- I sion meeting that was sched uled for last Tuesday was cancelled because of the bad weather. This month’s Bunco Party was held at Sharon Harrisons with Wyoma Baechler, Leon ora Cutsforth. Janet Lewis. Glenda Roten, Judy Holman Alice Morrison and Velma Harrison present. Velma won high Bunco. Judy won most games. Wyoma the door prize and Sharon the booby prize Margaret Rush visited her sister, Bertha Jorgensen who has been ill in Jefferson on Monday. I would like to take the time now’ to wish everyone a very’ Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Hope you all are much better organized than I am and have your tree all up and decorated, (I don’t even have one yet) have your Christmas shopping all done (I don’t) and have those gifts all wrapped and under the tree, (naturally, I haven’t). Being as how this is the time of year to start making New Year’s resolutions. I suppose you are thinking of all those you can make and that will be broken soon after January 1. Think mine should be to get better organized, which sounds great but knowing me it prob ably won’t happen. Thursday, December 21, at 7:30 is the regular meeting of the Gates City Council. Haven’t heard from anyone whether the Christmas program will make any difference on this or not. The Wednesday night tole painting class held its Christ mas potluck fondue party at my house Monday evening. Those present were Kay Bell, Barbara Henderson, Kathy Meader.
