He was a native of Daven port, w» and came to Ore gon 51 years ago settling in the Salem area, moving to Mill City 41 years ago. He spent a few years in Eureka- Arcata, Calif, area, returning to Mill City. He was a re tired sawn«* worker. Although he had been in poor health for many years, his death was sudden. Don’t overload electrical circuits, use proper size fuses and be certain all lighting sets and fixtures are UL approved 6. Before putting them up, test all outdoor lighting inside . ;:'\j,away from damp or concrete surfaces. Then, hang lights from insulated screw-in hooks or secure with insulated staples. Bare staples could crack the plastic insulation and cause a short. 2. Test strings of lights before mounting them on your tree or house. Remember that indoor lights should be suspended from tree branches by the clips provided on most strings of lights. If they need to be tied, use ribbon or string. And be sure that lights do not touch flammable surfaces or materials. 7. Also, when installing or changing outdoor lighting l>e careful of standing on damp surfaces. And always use a wooden ladder, not a metal one. 4. Christmas lights for indoor 7 watts each. So the maximum number of lights that should be connected to a single outlet is 85.
