The opening of fishing sea son Saturday was received with mixed emotions up in this part of the Canyon. It was cold, there was snow, hail, sunshine, and almost any kind of wea ther you could imagine, if you just sat there and waited. If the number of outfits going up the highway from Thursday on was any indication, the campgrounds must have been loaded. Whether many fish were caught or not, it was the first big outing of the upcom ing season, and one a lot of people enjoy. Businesses 1 were busy, despite the cool, wet weather. Delaying the opening of the season for a week didn’t do much for the fishermen, wea therwife. There was both rain and snow in both lower and higher elevations. Snow on mountain passes made the go ing rough for those hauling, trailers and boats over the mountain.
