Mr. and Mrs. Ben Matz were the houseguests for three days in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Geesman of Mill City. Pharmacy Topics Friday Clyde Rogers was taken by ambulance to Salem Memorial hospital where he underwent major surgery for a hernia, and Saturday he was able to be up for a short time. In spite of his age, 88 last March, he was reported the first of this week as recovering satisfactorily. Mr. and Mrs. George Bertilson (Theo Rog ers) of West Linn spent sev eral days here, after spending the weekend near their father in Salem, and Mrs. Bertilson plans to remain here with her mother until Mr. Rogers is able to be brought home. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Rogers, Jr., of Roseburg also spent the week end in Salem and Mill City to be near their parents. Mrs. Wayne Alban visited her sister, Mrs. Dunford, of Vancouver, Wash, one day last week. Mrs. Lowell Cree and Mrs. Bill McClintock attended Dis trict Meeting for the Rainbow Girls in Stayton. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ragsdale of Salem visited their new grandson at the Don Cree home on Sunday. Mrs. Bud Cline flew to Reno, Nevada where she was met by her son, David, and they con tinued on to Rawlin Air Force Base where she visited with him for a few days. On her way home she spent a few days in Portland with her sister, Mrs. Howton. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard R. Olson are now at home at 1319 13th S. E. in Salem. Mrs. Ol son is the former Carol Blum enstein whose marriage was solemized in Salem on Sept. 28. Volunteering to serve on the Steering Committee, which works with the youth of the city, especially during the Fourth of July celebration, were Ruth Cummings and Sue Mikkelsen. The next meeting will be Tuesday. October 26. A letter was read from the “Clean Air Now” program under the State Environmental Responsibility Division of the General Federation of Wom en’s Clubs. It was stated that the hostess roster for the current year had been prepared, and that the programs will be distributed at the next meeting.
