Jack Scott spent a couple of days at the coast last week while on a two week vacation. Banana Cream Easy as Pie An all-time American favorite, banana cream pie ls really as easy as pie to prepare. A garnish of banana slices and whipped topping make this one as pretty as delicious. Corn starch i” the filling gives it the creamy smooth goodness. Banana Cream Pie I 1 (9inch) baked pie shell S'/j cups milk cup sugar 3 egg yolks, slightly ¡¡4 cup corn starch beaten \>/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla 3 bananas Mix sugar, com starch and salt in double boiler top. Gradually, stir in milk. Cook over boiling water, stirring constantly, until thickened. Cover; cook 10 minutes longer, stirring occasionally. Do not remove from boiling water. Stir a little hot mixture into egg yolks, then stir all into remaining hot mixture over boiling water. Cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove small j amnnnt of filling into baked shell. Slice bananas over layer. Cover with remaining filling. Garnish with whipped topping and ( banana slices. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Davis, Lance and Lisa spent their re cent vacation at the home of his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. James Overlook at Glenview, Ill. While there Bud did a little fishing for the famed muskelunge which is found in Northern Wisconsin. These fish, of the pike family, grow real big. He caught one that measured 28 inches in length but had to throw it back as it takes a 30 inch fish to be legal. They reported the weather there as real hot, and they were glad to get back to Oregon.
