Mr. and Mrs. Earl Allen returned home Wednesday July 26 after spending ten days at Paulina Lake. They reported the weather hot and fishing very poor. Mrs. Rosa Berry with her daughter. Mrs. Albert Carr of Mill City visited one day last week in Woodburn at the home of Mrs. Berry’s neice, Mr. and Mrs. W. Knut son and family. Mrs. Ben IntVeld was ad mitted to the Salem Memorial hospital Wednesday after- noon July 26. She will under go surgery Thursday morn ing. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Walton from North Bend are spend ing this week at the home of their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Walton. The Lyons fire truck was called to the home of the City Mayor, Ernest Grosso Wed nesday afternoon when a fire in a trash barrel got out of contrl setting fire to the grass, however no damage was done. An addition is being built onto the Lyons fire hall for added garage space to store the fire trucks. As it is now the trucks and ambulance are in a crowded space with the ambulance stored be tween the two trucks which makes It difficult to get the ambulance out in a hurry. Loren Walker is home con- velesing after spending two days at the Santiam Memori al hospital in Stayton with injuries he received in the logging woods.
