Mr. and Mrs. Thaine Tomlinson and small children of Smith Center, Kansas, were re ent guests at the homes of Mr Tomlinson’s uncles. Don Clark and Verne Clark. The Tomlin sons traveled as far north as Van couver, B C., and stopped again on their return They were highly pleas ed with the entertainment provided by their hosts, which included a trip to the Oregon Beaches, a trip to Breitenbush Hot Springs and sight seeing trips through some local mills. The last evening they were here the oung people enjoyed a wiener roast at the Don Clark’s outdoor fireplace. Guests last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John MacGregor were Mr. and Mrs. Gene Engelgau and son of The Dalles. They are former resi dents and while here visited their many friends. Woody Heller returned from Green land Wednesday of last week. He had been working on a construction job there for the past several months. He had to leave his job because of a broken hand, which would not heal in Greenland. His doctor said lack of oxygen in the air in Greenland made injuries heal slowly. Woody had planned on working at least two more months before returning home. 4—THE MILL CITY ENTERPRISE THURSDAY. SEITEMBER 3, 195» Mr. and Mrs. Don Paul and son. Alexander returned home Saturday from a three month tour of Europe. They docked in New York August 20 and left the following Saturday as the car which they had purchased in Germany came in on the next ship. They left New York Saturday, Au gust 22 and arrived home the 29th. Mrs. Paul states they had planned this trip for five years and it fully ame up to all their expectations and one that will long live in their mem ories. Mr. and Mrs. Paul visited friends and relatives in England! some of whom they had not seen for almost 20 years Many readers of The Enterprise have followed Mr. Paul’s frequent letters with interest during the months they were traveling. Mr. and Mrs. James Swan accom panied by Mrs. Altha Grimes and Miss Daisy Geddes were at the Mt. Peas ant church a week ago when the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Presbyterian church there was ob served. It was of particular interest to Mrs. Grimes and Mrs. Swan as they spent their girlhood days in that vicinity. The church is located between Lyons and Kingston.
