Thirty-two deaths in April were reported by the Oregon Traffic Safe ty Commission. This figure, however, is subject to upward revision if de layed reports are received. The month-by-month death toll now shows 27 deaths in January, February; 34, March; and 32, April. The Commission said the state is now entering the “crucial’’ period of 1 the year when highways become j swollen with vacation traffic. Oregon has again joined a nation wide drive called “Slow Down and Live” in an effort to reduce sum mer traffic accidents and deaths. The campaign stressing the “in a hurry" complex which leads many i drivers into traffic trouble, will be ■ launched May 30 and extend through ' Labor Day.
