The students wish to express their thanks for a grand job. | Student council held a meeting Oct. d tt 8 p.m. Discussed was the gather ing of clothes and furniture for the auction. The town was divided into five sections to cover. The Student Council wishes to thank Don Jenkins ’•nd the Mill City street department for the use of the pickups. Mr. Means -aid the students could be excused from classes to go and ask for items. Discussed was the possibility of bay ing an automatic corn popper and hot dog outfit. A motion was made and seconded to buy these items since they would be a great help at the ball games. The Rally Thursday night started at 7. The Chief of Police led the proces sion most of the way. Ralph Jull had the speaker in his car. In the back of Mr. Martin's pickup was an old barrel used for a noisy maker. Ro berta and Willa I.oucks. and Virginia Bilyeu had the drums and cymbals The Fire department started the fire near the gym. After the rally every one went home so tired. Everyone was in good mood since there was to be no school Monuuy and Tuesday. Weunesday morning cam.- too soon for us and the toacners. Most of the teachers gave us en couraging thoughts for the next day. Exams. Boy, tne moans and groans could be really heard. In Mr. Lowery's U.S. History class there are some troublesome tunes. Every Friday the students are to bring current events for tne wees. Usually one or two students bring the events. Mr. Lowery is just about to give up. Oh, us forgetful Juniors. Open House last Wednesday night turned out a great success. The third period Home Ec class served cookies, punch and coffee. Our new gym was the center of attraction. Friday morning the Student Body had a pep assembly. The yell and song leaders took over. This is the second one we had this year and the students really do good. The football players were dismissed from school at 11:15 and the students at 12. All those who had private cars could go, but the unlucky ones stayed at school. Huriah for the team, they won! Lions 12. Timberwolves 13. Our next game is at Monroe Friday. The stu dents will be dismissed for the game. Wednesday the students receive their report cards. The teachers aie having quite a time getting in the grades.
