Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Olmstead were Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Lewis of Myrtle Point. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Steelman of North Bonneville, Wa>h., visited last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. B- E. Whitsett. Mr. and Mrs. Flannery of DeLake visited at the home of their son, Cal vin and family Friday. They returned to their home Saturday. Mrs. Nell Swift, who has been ill at her home the past six weeks was moved to her daughter’s, Mrs. Robert Landes, at Astoria last week. Mr. and Mrs. Charles I mphress and family motored to Springfield Sunday where they weie guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. O. Ingram. Mrs. Ingram is a sister of Mr. Umphress. Mrs. Fred Grimes has been among those confined to her home with the flu the past week. A quite severe epi demic of the disease has stricken numerous residents recently. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Duffy were re cent guests in Redmond at the home of several former Mill City residents, including the Clayton Baltimores, Henry Baltimores and the Wallace | Hendersons. Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Toman and sons, were dinner guests Sunday in Lyons at the home of Mrs. Toman’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Stevens. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Scott called there in the evening. The Friendship Circle of the Pres byterian church will have a Christmas party for a group of the younger couples Saturday, December 12, 8 p. m., at Fellowship hall. An informal evening of fun and fellowship is planned. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Baltimore of Redmond, stopped in Mill City Fri day enroute to her mother’s home in Scio. They had received word Thurs day of the death of her father, Mr. Calavan of Marion; and attended his funeral services in Salem Saturday.
