The GAA Winter Prom last Satur­
day, December 20 was a big success.
All the fellows and their girls looked
swell all dressed up in suits and
formats.
The Junior class is the happiest
one of the school this week because
their long-awaited class rings have
finally shown up.
School is now out until the 5th of
January, 1953. To end the year the

Mrs. R. A. Feenstra lead the devo­
tions, the Christmas story was read I
by Mrs. Willard Hartnell, with carol
I singing by the group.
At the close of the afternoon, re-
i freshments were served by the host­
ess, Mrs. Floyd Bassett and Mrs. Wil­
lard Hartnell carrying out the holi­
day motif.
Lt. and Mrs. Lynn Roye have le-
i turned from Japan and are visiting
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Roye.
He has been stationed theie since
February; his wife went to Japan
i in May. He will travel to McChord
Field, Wash., soon to receive his dis-
| charge.

i change at the Rebekah hall Wednes­
day afternoon wtih Mrs. John Worden ,
¡and Mrs. John Kunkle as hostess. A
' 1:30 dessert luncheon was followed by
several tables of 500.

Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Smtih of

Norton, Kan., who arrived Thursday
for the holiday.
Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Lyons from
Klamath, Calif., are visiting relatives
in Lyons. They are guests at the
home of his sister, Mr. and Mrs.
Wayne Ransom, also his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Pat Lyons.

lowed by two songs sung by Janet
Ross and JoAnn Leach. They were
accompanied by Barbara Podrabsky
on the piano.
The school paper “Wolf Tales”
came out last Friday. It was a spe-
cial Christmas issue.
Jim Cooke was there to give a
short, intel esting talk about the activ­
ities of the Naval ROTC program of
which he is a member.
Tom “Santa Claus” Stewart was
there to bring the gifts. He had all
the teachers sit on his knee to tell
h>m what they wanted for Christmas.

Ice cream bars were served to
everyone. They were purchased by
the faculty.
Then to ton everything off the gifts
were handed out.
After school Tuesday night the var­
sity basketball tram got heat by the
alumni. The score was 79-44. The
alumni that were there were: Bob
Baltimore, Bob Shelton, Ollie Muise,
Ernie Podrabsky, Lawrence Thornley,
Jim Poole, Leo Poole, Jim Cooke, and
Gary Peterson.
There will be no Hi-Lites column
in next week’s paper due to the holi­
day vacation.
