Detroit grade school Christmas pro
gram held this week in the school
gymnasium.

movie shorts shown.
The American Legion and Auxiliary
gave their annual treat after the com
pletion of the movies.

week at the Park Way Trailer Court
in Gates.
After the serving of dainty refresh
ments by Mrs. Doughty, pinochle play
proved Mrs. Bertha Vanderhoff to
be the day’s first prize winner with
Mrs. Mabie Quarles second prize
taker.
Mrs. Marcella Peterson came up
with a surprise pinochle and thus took
the traveling pinochle prize. The tra
ditional exchange of Christmas gifts
followed the short pinochle session.

for the club’s annual Christmas party.

ness was not able to be present.
Entertainment for the evening was

The evening’s festivities were
opened by the singing of Christmas
carols, with Mrs. Don Miley at the
piano, Mrs. Glenn Gordon gave a
vocal solo, Mrs. Elmer Stewart a
Christmas reading.

Clise played several numbers on her
accordian.
Following the program gifts were
exchanged, At a late hour refresh
ments were served by the hostesses

decorated with Christmas greens and
lighted by candles.
