CLEARING WORK PROGRESSING Thompson - Hendrickson Logging Co. burned about 150 acres of slash ing in the area of the Dertoit Dani leservoir last week end. The tract was on the north side of the reser voir between Whitman Creek up to the area opposite Blowout Creek en trance into the Santiam. Due to wea ther conditions the burning was very successful. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kriever over ths week end were Mr. and Mrs Arthur Knauss and Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Mayer and daughter Nancy of Los Angeles.
