Sev eral clever contests were arranged, and piizes were given to Mrs. Wil liam Cauble Jr., Mrs. Archie Mat r toon, Mrs. Rodney Moore and Mrs. Ray Johnson. Thirty women attended the party. Out-of-town guests were Mrs. T. A. Davis, Disston, Oie., who has been visiting Mrs. Moore, and Mrs. John Sullivan of Portland. A nice gift was presented to the honor guest by her friends, after which dainty lefreshments were served. The Detroiters are playing for a dance at the American Legion Hall in Mill City Friday evening. Mrs. Ruskin Smith was in town Thursday anil reported that her hus band was to have an exploratory op eration at Veterans Hospital in Port land Friday. He has been there under observation for the past two weeks. Mrs. William Cauble Jr. took her daughter Suzanne to Portland Friday for medical attention. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Kauko have rented their home here and will move soon. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rocke and fam ily of Beaverton visited Mr. and Mrs. Joe Leis over Sunday.
