Aug. 21.—Fire today destroyed what is locally known as the J. Wright Company plant of the American Cigar Company. There were about 400,000 pounds of leaf tobacco in the building, owned by the American Cigar Company, and this, with the machinery, it is estimated was worth $115.000.
