BONES. Sec. 52 From th» Republican, Bethany, ifo. Mr». Fannie B. Stoffle, of Martinsville, Mo., was lately rescued trout a fate which nearly wrecked her life. It seems she has for many years been severely afflicted with a complication of dis ease» and frequently would have fearful at tack» in which she would become unconscious for hours. In one of these, she was unconscious for many hours. Her condition became alarming; the usual restoratives failed to bring relief, the physician’s aid proved unavailug anil death seemed imminent. She recovered, however, and that she lives to-day is won derful. A reporter who was sent to investigate, when he met Mrs. Stoffle could not help but remark “how well she was looking” and could scarcely realize that she had passed through such a trying ordeal as had been represented. In speaking of her experience, Mrs Stoffle said: “ 1 used to have terrible sick headaches, which I had as far back as I can remember. In recent years they were getting worse. I would suffer bo that I would become un conscious, and the last one I had I was un conscious from »even in the evening until after midnjght. I was so bad that the doc- tor’could not get the medicine in my mouth, but had to give me a hyp, dermic injection. The doctor said I was likely to die in one of those spells.” "A few years a go, I took treatment of a specialist in Kansas City, but it only relieved me for a while. “ When I came here twro years ago my health was miserable. My husband who had great faith in !>r. Williams’ Pink Pills f>r Pale People, insisted that 1 coin menee using them. I finally consented to try tiiem. After taking a few doses 1 could see an improve ment and my headache spells were not so severe. 1 kept taking the pills until 1 liad used four boxes, and since that time I have not haii any of those attacks and 1 never fell so well in my life. “I have recommended the pills to my friends and several have used them with good results. “1 am always glad to tell of the great benefit I received from Dr. Williams’ l ink Pilis for Pale People, for now I feel as though 1 was the happiest., most contented woman in the world, for with good health who cannot but be happy ?” Mrs. Stoffle is a sister of Joseph Holland, of Bethany, who is well known throughout the county, having been a candidate for slicrif. at the election of 1896. Iler parents nre Mr. and Mrs. G. W.Curtíss, of Eagleville, also well known in this county. No discovery of modern times lias prove« such a boon to women as Dr. \\ ¡Iliums’ Fit T Pills for Pale People. Acting directly on tl; blood and nerves, invigorating the bedv, r< c luting the functions, they restore the st rein li and health to the exhausted yromftn win. every effort of the physician proves un availing. These pills are recognized everywhere r a specific for diseases of the blood and nerves For paralysis, locomotor ataxia, and oik diseases long supposed incurable, they Im proved their efficacy in thousands <>f case» Truly they are one of the greatest blessing ever bestowed upon mankind. What is CASTORIA » Mrs. J. F. Galbreath and daughters Helen and Evaline will leave about Oct. 1st for Nashville, Tenn., where the daughters will matriculate as students in the conservatory of music. They will be absent several months. The B. F. Hartman property was bought by George Olds last Saturday, who held it about two days and sold it to Dr. J. H. Cook, who will make it his fu ture residence. The house vacated by Dr. Cook will be occupied by Walter Wade. Daring the late conference, a McMinn ville lady entertaining preachers, feasted them on both “angel’s food” and “devil’s cake.” While partaking of the latter, the preachers remarked that if the old fellow always had such diet, he must live high. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Norwood of Howel] prairie visited their daughters, Mrs. E. C. Apperson and Mrs. W. F. Diel- schneiderthe past week, returning home on Tuesday. Their son James accom panied them to McMinnville, and re mains to attend the public schools of this city. The delivery horse at Bettman & War ren’s grocery evidently believes there is no fun in running off unless he is privi leged to catch himself. Such was the very amusing incident on Saturday. The horse ran from the grocery to the vicinity of the depot, and then ran back to the grocery and stopped. No damage, and lots of glory for the horse. B. A. Millsap has decided to embark in general merchandising at Lebanon, having received flattering attention from citizens there oil a recent visit. He will depart for that place next Monday, ac companied by his family, and by Wm. Millsap, who will assist several weeks in opening up the business. Bert will rap idly make his mark in trade circles up there. James Houck’s team took a lively spin on Saturday. They broke from their hitching near the city hall, and running down 0 street struck the iron fence at E. N. Ford’s residence. A section of the fence was broken out, and the team went through the yard to the west side of the house and wedged themselves be tween the house and fence. The iron gate of the fence was sent w hirring to the front porch, a distance of about 20 feet, and just w ithin the front door were two small children playing. A boy’s tri cycle in the yard was made a shadow of its former self. «uv rtlWUCTUMD OfttY Castoria is a substitute lor Castor Oil, Paregoric, Drops anti Soothing Syrups, It is Harmless ami Pleasant.
