Notice is hereby given that there will be a meeting of the democratic county central committee for Yam hill county, Oregon, to be held at the office of W. L. Bradshaw at La fayette, Oregorf, on Saturday, the 18th day of February, 1888, a'tT o’clock p. m. of said day, for the purpose of fixing the date for hold s’ ing a county convention to elect delegates to the state convention to be held at Pendleton, Oregon, on April 3d, 1888, and to transact such other business as may come liefere the committee at that-time. Each member of the committee is requested to be present, as a full attendance is desired. Dated at Lafayette, Oregon, this Gth day of February, 1888. W. L. Such a road has been talked of for years. It would not only be of immense value to Astoria, but it would go a long way toward reducing the ex orbitant expense of towage and pilotage, which now comes out of the farmers’ pockets.
