1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup
water, 1 cup red cinnamon candies.
1 cup cottage cheese 6 small apples;
‘ •j cup chopped walnuts; 2 tbsps.
mayonnaise, lettuce
Heat sugar,
water, and cinnamon candies in
saucepan
over
low flam e
until
candy is dissolved
Pare and core
apples, place m syrup, cover and
cook very slowly unt,i lender but
not broken. The apples should be
bright red. Turn once during cook­
ing
Rem ove carefully from syrup
and chill. Fill centers with cheese,
walnut meats and mayonnaise cum*
bined. Serve on lettuce.
