Husty and forlorn after years of d iio s,. an ancient pair of handcuffs, vintage of 1890, were «liscovered un der a tree early this week by Jack Dougherty and presented to Coliu Merrill, Cascade Locks marshal. The tr«e stands near Charley Dlin’s cabin, hard by the govern ment reservoir. The handcuffs prob ably have not been used for three or more decades.
