Now Eddie pushes a saw back and forth eight hours a da as he cuts wood in the hills back of th e Bonneville business district. LOCKS PAIR INVENT OIL BURNING STOVE An invention th a t may re»olu tionize th e oil-burning range field haa been perfected and patented by Lewis A. Z uiderduin and Mrs. G race A. Scott, of the We-Ank-1' Inn restau ran t In Cascade Locks. The new burner, which consists of only three sm all parts, a down draft, outside control valve and a hot point, the la tte r Incudes the bottom plate, will cost onlj $25 for installation In hom es, $35 for restaurants. It can be placed In th e ordinary wood stove by sim pl rem oving the grates. I The burner, which Zuiderduin has been w orking on for five m onths, burns ordinary fuel oil, at a cost of three and one-half cents per hour. This is much cheaper than wood can be used. The cham ber m ust, of course, be air-tig h t, which m eans th a t the stove's side d raft m ust be cem ented in. Z uiderduin, who drew all speci fications and p attern s him self, finds Jn his w ork as chef th a t if offers b etter heat, less work and few er w orries than any stove he has ever worked over. To quote him , "it really w o rk s!” John T. A nderson, of P ortland, was p aten t atto rn ey for th e new Invention, which th e restau ran t pair hope to m ake a national prod uct.
