Thomas Wed nesday of last week and planned a membership drive to begin Tuesday, January 20, and continuing until Feb ruary 17. Mrs Pugh-Parriot is chair man of the committee. Mrs. Fred Carnes, Mrs. Ellis Burna, Mrs. F. M. Atkinson and Mrs William Foss are the captains. Interesting articles in current pari odieals were reed. “When mothers begin to tell their sons they would «be as glad to see them statesmen as clergymen, and prove that they mean what they say by what they do, poli tics will be as clean as pulpits,” is one of the clear-cut sentences of Frances Parkenson Keyes' article in Good Housekeeping entitled, “Now That the Election is Over." Mrs. Keyes, the wife of a United States senator, has had much experience within recent years in political activi ties for women. She calls this article “A letter on every-day good citizen ship." Beta Daniels and lttcardo Cortes are featured in “Argentine Love,” an original screen story by Vlucente Blasco Ibanes. John Russell adapted the story for the screen. Gerald Duffy wrote the scenario.
