Tbe first of this week they broke camp and moved over in tervening ridges Into Edon Park, dis covered last year bv members of tbe Wiyeast'Club. “I have never seen a more beautiful spot," declared Mr. Melcher, who toured into the park with Mr. Graves on an advance exploring trip. “The snow (teak of Hood seems more majes tic when viewed from these flowered bench«« of Eden Park. The mountain meadows are more open, more expan sive and more gorgeous on tbe north west lease of Mount Hood than on any other side. When we were in Eden Park tlie open benches were lieatitlful in a garment of white. We even found white rhododendron shrubs in bloom . But the pink of heather plants were just showing, and by tbe time the Mazamaa come over the ridge they will be greeted by a riot of color.” Those who have visited the park rejsirt the view of tbe mountain over a miniature lake, named Dollar lake trees nw of the perfect symmetry of its circular chores, declare it most im pressive. Mr. Melcher says he anticipates tlie popularity that the west base of tlie mountain will receive to result in a heavy lot of visiting to the peak next year. ________________ Oregon Apples Popular Leslie Cronbourne, who carries an For Your Meat Rabbits and Oregon commission, has written Gov, Pierce from Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, Breeding Stock thst apples produc'd in thia state are Phone 6443 popular in the southern country where they bring fancy prices in the open F.
