LOCAL SHIPPERS TO DISCUSS GRADING Local shipping agencies are now dis play it. g an interest in a proposal of the I'mted States liureau of Markets to standardize boxed apple grading lules. A discussion of the proposed standard ization will likely form the chief topic of a congress of fruit growers to be held m Spokane llecember 10 in lieu of the annual National Apple Show. A conference of all local shipping inter ests is planned for Saturday. While local shippers believe that hem fits will result from certain gener al standards in grades, too strict an application will he opposed. The dif ferent Northwestern districts specialize in ditl'etent varieties and different con ditions prevail, conditions which, it is Isaid, will make impossible, or at least I impractical, any strict general set of rules applying to all districts.
