Two stories high and 1UU feet square, the new building has been rushed. Its builders have taken advantage of the warm weather of the past two months, and the new structure will be occupied within two weeks. By March 1, with the spring opening of the Columbia Highway, the storage rooms and nut chine shoD will be fullv eouioned. - The entire first floor of the new garage will be devoted exclusively to repair work and the remodeling of old cars. The new concern will make a specialty of turning second hand cars into trucks. "We think by this means we will solve to a large degree the old car problems here, says O. T. Wedemey er. vice president of the concern, "It is my opinion that the trucks, which can be sold at a moderate price, will find a keen demand from orchardists." Other members of the local automo bile corporation are C. E. Coffin, sec retary, and Mark Cameron, president. Mr.' Corhn and Mr. weaemeyer own valley orchard interests. Mr. Cameron has Seen identified for several years with the apple box manufacturing bus iness. The second story of the build ing, the front of which is on a level with Cascade avenue, the city exten sion of the Columbia Highway, will be devoted partially to exhibition pur noses and partly to storage, well isrhted bv huge plate glass windows, the entire front will be turned into handsome display rooms. At the car entrance of the structure a corridor will be provided, the doors being set well bacK in tne building, inus, wnen car arrives during the night, the driver will be able to drive under cover before ringing for an attendant of the garage. , A comiortaory appointed rest room will be provided for women, a feature that the new garage men expect to ap peal to the tourists who expect to stop only a short time in the city to secure some car service. The new garage will handle the fol lowing cars: Franklin, Paige, Grant and Chevrolet. A Woman's Experience with Grippe When a couch or cold "hangs on" and von have aches and pains in vour joints and muscles, it is likely that grippe is taking hold of your system. Mrs. J. This sterling family remedy loosens the phlegm, stops irritations, allays soreness and inflammation and frees the air pas- senges. Good for children, bold every where. New Yorkers Learn Ranch Names Miss Aenes Beach, returning from visit in New York City to her old home in Portland, stopping here on a visit with her former college mate, Mrs. L. A. Henderson, declares that she found intensely interesting the past winter a study of apple marketing in New York. "I found,'" said Miss Beach, "that New York people have been buying many apples by the box the past sea son, and because of this growing cus tom, they are learning tne names ot Hood Kiver valley rancnes, aitnougn they do not seem to know much about Oregon. The names of the growers, you, know, is stamped on the ends of boxes. Advertisements, telling of the wonders of Hood River and Wenatchee apples, greet the patrons of elevated trains and subway cars. Hood River apples have been selling in New York this winter for from $3.50 to $4.00 per box." Felt Like 96; Now Like 21 Many persons complain about feeling old before thev should.
