Through a letter received fiom his wife by A. C. liuck the identity of the man who waa found floating iu the Columbia river near Wyetb last July waa extablihhed Saturday. The indentilloation was mado through effects that were found ou the dead man's body and a description which waa sent, to his wifo. The man's name was Henry Graves and his home was at Colton. Cal. In a comuiuicu tion received by Mr. Buck it Is stated that he had been at Caldwell, Mnhn, before coming to Hood Biver and that it is believed that he committed suicido owing to despondency caused by 111 health end money losses. On leaving Caldwell he wrote bin wife that ho was coming to Hood Biver, but after that she was told about finding the body bore and later identilleil it by correspondence.
