Smith, a locomotive and sta tionary engineer, employed by the Bridal Veil Lumber Company at Bri dal Veil, was Instantly killed last week by an unexplained explosion of a donkey engine at the yards ot the company. John Smith, a hobo, was arrestsd at Hood River last week, and when searched by the police 11000 was found on his person.
