Dukes Valley was shadowed list Sunday with sorrow and sympathy when the news was circulated that Roy Slooom bad met with an accident wbleb cause ! tbe loss ot bis left hand. Roy waa carrying some fuze and caps. The fuze was cold mid be thought he would see if it would burn. He set it on Ore and tbe caps be wsa cariying went off in bis baud, tearing it all to pieces.
