ORDINANCE No. 5. AiOd.nince Defining The limits For Shooting Fireworks. Be it Ordained by the Common Council of the Board Trustees the Town of Houlton, Orajtm. Section 1. It shall be unlawful to shoot or fire Any sky rockets, Roman candles, bontnes, firecrackers or other fireworks along or near the County road in the Town of Iloulton from a point opposite the .Mathews hotel property to the Milton Creek hridge. Section 2. Any person convicted of violating the provissions of this Orvlinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction may 1 fined in any sum not to excede twenty five-dollars. Section 3. There being an einurgency this Ordin ance shall take effect f rom and after its approval. Town Recorder. ORDINANCE NO. 6. An Ordinance to provide for the taxing and killing of Dog?. j 'Be it Ordained by the Cummvn Council of the Board nf Trustees of the Toun of Huulton, Oregon. Section 1. The owner or person having in charge any dog within the town limits of the Town of Iloul ton shall on or before the first day of Augut of each year pay into the Town Treasury the sum of One dol lar in gold or silver coin for each and ever)- dog owned by him or them, or in their charge, which shall entitle him to a receipt from the Town Recorder or Town Marshal designating the owner's name and the number -of the license granted. Section 2 Any person, an inhabitant of the Town -of Iloulton, permitting any deg of which he is the owner, or of which he has control, to go abroad in any .of the streets, squarts, lanes, alleys, or public places of the town, without having first paid the license required by this ordinance shall upon conviction thereof, before the Town Recorder, be subjected to a fine of not less than five, nor more than twenty-five dollars, or by imprisonment in the town jail not to exceed ten days. Section 3. The Town Recorder shall keep a suitable record of the license granted, and cn the ex piration of the aunual time fcr issuing licenses, .shall give the Town Marshall a list of the owners and num lers on which lisence has been renewed. Section 4. It shall be the duty of the Town Marshal or such other person as shall l duly appoint ed therefor by the town council, to scire till ami prop erly bury in some suitable place, any and all do, found running at large in the Town limits when owner or person having in charge thcicof has friled to pay or renew the lisenee, provided, that when a dog has been taken up by the Town Marshal on which a lisence 1ns I ot been paid, and the owner of such dog known, the Town Marshal shall notify the owner or rept emulative thereof, who' may thereupon rrccver possesion upon payment of the lisence fee of II and a fee of II for each and every dog so claimed, provided; ftrtlicr that no dog shall be killed unless it ha-leeni kept at least 4S hours except as provided in Section 5. Section .".
