Farming the farmer is a very profitable business with the trust-? that are protected by law. All they ask of you is to elect them to office and then you go back and work to make more wealth to pay their salaries and the extortions of the trusts. About election time they go to the expense of hiring halls, bands, and speakers, aud with the glad smile and ready hand, and a Cajol ing word, are controlling your vote as they have done for years. You know it. You have said it to yourself often, but you are afraid to speak it'out loud. Are you not getting tired of this kind of poli tics? Do you think that this is all the consideration tnat you, who compose the majority of votes, are. entitled to? The fellows who make millions off your labor will bo satisfied with yonr stupidity, why shoulda't they? Wherein is the great charm of a system that permits others to put the price on your products and the price on everything you buy? Where do you come in at? Under socialism, your income wovld be more than $2,50o a year, not counting the labor for any other member of your family. You cannot know this is true because I make the statement, but you can only know of its truth by examin ing the matter fur yourself. If your children worked, they would have the same income. How does that compare with your income now? And this is for short hours instead of the long hours you now work. Under socialism, your family would enjoy all the advantages which the most favored citizens now enjoy. With no hope of any thing better facing you under the preseni industrial system, why will you not investigate for yourself?
